FoodHorizon continues to develop
products that can be used by all levels of the food industry. The
premier system is Sentry9000 that
puts a Virtual Manager on the process floor to gather data from all
aspects of food manufacturing. Coordination from the Farm to the
Fork or from the Sea to the Spoon of data collection and information
management to provide a paper-free, error-free operation. The Centurion system was developed for the smaller
food manufacturer and provides many of the same features of Sentry9000,
but all data is transferred via the Internet to a server at FoodHorizon
for analysis and storage, rather than having a server on-site like the
Sentry9000 system. FoodHorizon has now taken data collection and
information management one step farther. There are many smaller food
processors that only want to remove the paperwork from the clipboards,
file cabinets and file storage boxes that mark the landscape of their
plant. Sentry-in-a-Box removes all
that paper and paraphernalia associated with paper record
keeping..
Sentry-in-a-Box takes your current
forms and converts them into digitized forms accessed on a handheld
PDA. Every single sheet of paper that was on the process floor is
now in a handheld PDA. The data is sent either immediately to a
server for analysis and storage, or is sent on a delay by synchronization
of the PDA. The two methods are based on the presence of high speed
Internet access or dial-up Internet access, respectively, at the
facility.

In addition, Sentry-in-a-Box comes with a Bluetooth wireless
temperature probe with a rechargeable transceiver that automatically
sends the temperature from the product being tested directly to the
PDA where it is captured. Different type probes are available
for different uses.

The data is analyzed and sent via the Internet to a
web browser that can be accessed for review. Alarms and alerts are
still in the system. If pre-set limits are surpassed, email, cell
phone and email pagers will be called as well as automatic Corrective
Action forms popping up on the handheld and homepage. The data is
available at virtual Real-Time with high speed access and immediately
after synchronization with dial-up access.

There is all the information you collect daily at your
fingertips. It can include Sanitation Pre-Ops, Receiving data, Food
Safety HACCP data, Temperature data, Quality attribute data, Laboratory
results, Production data, Shipping data and more. All the papers go
away.
Sentry-in-a-Box is very
inexpensive and is very easy to operate. We have been able to make
it inexpensive because we do not travel to your facility to sell it to
you, we do not come back to install it and train you and your
employees. We do all that via the telephone, the fax machine and the
Internet.
After we exchange forms and information for your processes
and develop the PDA forms we will put the PDA and the Bluetooth
Temperature Probe along with an 802.11 wireless access point or a
Bluetooth modem, depending on your Internet connectivity, in a BOX
and send it to you. You will receive instructions and telephone
assistance on setting up the Internet connectivity access that fits your
needs. There will be detailed written and verbal instructions for
using the PDA and temperature probe and a WebEx demonstration will be used
for explaining the home page. You can be using it the same day you
receive it.
The Return on Investment will be days or weeks instead of
months or years. The copy machine will last longer. Paper
costs are only for product sales invoices, not process data. You do
not have a stack of papers on your desk to review each and every
production day. Our system reviews the data for you and tells it
when it is outside of the limits you have pre-set. How much is that
one item alone worth to you? Throw away those notebooks full of
paper. Throw away those file cabinets. Throw away those white,
file storage boxes. More importantly, throw away the concern that
you missed a notation that was out of limits. That does not
happen.
Today is December 15, 2004. Today, Sentry-in-a-Box
retails for $2,750 with a $75 a month service fee for 2005, and that
service fee is free the first 90 days. You do the math. Give
yourself a Christmas present.
